Corporate Power BI training in Dubai, run on your own data

Working sessions for a team that has, or is about to have, a Power BI model and needs to own it. Not a certification course. Fixed price per workshop, delivered remotely on Gulf Standard Time hours.

Serving Dubai and the UAE. Remote delivery, 7am–7pm Gulf Standard Time, seven days. Delivered in partnership with Roar Data, an Australian Power BI consultancy.

What this is, and what it is not

This is training for a team that needs to own a Power BI model: the finance team whose month-end now comes from it, the analyst who will add the next page, the managers who will read it every Sunday. The exercises are built on your data, your measures and your naming, so what people learn on Tuesday is what they do on Wednesday.

It is not a certification course. There is no syllabus mapped to an exam, no certificate at the end and no classroom. If you want preparation for the PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst exam, a training institute is the better fit, and there are several in Dubai that run exactly that. We would rather say so on the first page than sell you the wrong thing.

Sessions are delivered remotely, over video, scheduled between 7am and 7pm GST, seven days a week. Training that follows one of our builds is included in that build; standalone workshops are quoted as a fixed price per workshop.

Who it is for

Three groups, with different needs, which is why there are four formats rather than one course.

  • Finance teams on Tally, Zoho Books, Odoo or SAP Business One who have inherited or commissioned a Power BI model and need to run month-end from it: refresh it, reconcile it, add a measure, explain a variance.
  • Operations analysts who build reports for a warehouse, a fleet, a portfolio or a group of outlets and need to do it without breaking the model underneath.
  • Report owners after a build, ours or someone else’s, who have been handed a workspace and a set of files and need to know what they are now responsible for.

Formats

Four formats. Each has a fixed agenda that we adapt to your model before the session, a fixed duration set in the scope, and a cap on group size so everyone works rather than watches.

Owner workshop (after a build)

The handover session, included in every build. The named owner and one deputy work through the runbook on the live model: where the gateway is and what to do when it fails; how refresh is scheduled and how to read a failure; how to add a user and change a row-level security rule; how to add a measure from the dictionary without touching the ones already there; how to deploy from the test workspace to production. It ends when the owner has completed each runbook task unaided.

Finance team workshop

For a finance team that will run reporting from the model. The agenda follows the path data takes from the ERP to the board page.

  • Power Query from your ERP export: connecting to the Tally, Zoho, Odoo or SAP B1 extract you actually receive, cleaning it, and understanding what happens on refresh.
  • Model basics: what a star schema is, why the date table matters, and which relationships are safe to touch.
  • DAX for the P&L and budget variance: measures for actual, budget, variance and variance percentage, year-to-date, comparable period with the Ramadan shift handled, and the VAT payable measure by return period, all written in your account names.
  • Multi-entity exercises: an entity dimension, intercompany elimination, and a security rule that shows a subsidiary its own figures.
  • Publishing: workspaces, sharing, subscriptions, and the difference between changing a report and changing the model.

Executive briefing

A short session for the people who read the dashboards rather than build them. How to read a page and what each number means (from the measure dictionary, in your terms); filters, drill-down and drill-through; the comparable-period toggle and what it does with Ramadan and Eid; the mobile app; setting up a subscription so the page arrives by email on Sunday morning; and how to ask for a change so that it happens in the model rather than in a screenshot.

Self-service enablement

For analysts and managers who want to build their own reports without breaking the model. Using the endorsed semantic model as the only source; building a report page on it in Power BI Desktop or in the service; what a personal workspace is for; why a new measure goes to the owner rather than into a report; and the naming and formatting rules the estate follows. The aim is more reports on one model, not more models.

What you leave with

Training that ends when the video call ends has not worked. Each workshop hands over the following.

  • The exercise files, built on your data, so the team can repeat them and use them to train the next person who joins.
  • A measure cheat-sheet in your naming: the measures the session used, their definitions and their DAX, laid out on a page or two.
  • Recordings of the session, where you agree to recording, stored in your document store rather than ours.
  • A follow-up question window after the session, during which the people who attended can send questions that come up when they try things on their own.

Training versus consulting versus managed service

Training alone is enough when the model is sound and the gap is skills: a good model exists, refresh works, the definitions are written down, and the team simply has not been shown how to hold it. A finance team workshop and an owner workshop close that gap.

Training is not enough when the model is the problem. If refresh fails weekly, if two reports disagree, if nobody can say what a measure means, training people to operate it teaches them to operate something broken. That is a Power BI consulting services Dubai engagement, or a Power BI dashboard development Dubai project if the scope is one department, with training included at the end.

Training is the wrong shape when nobody in the business has time to own the estate even after they have been shown how. That is what the Power BI managed services UAE service is for, and it is a perfectly reasonable answer for a finance team of three.

If the team is still in Excel and the question is whether to move, the Excel to Power BI migration Dubai page sets out how that decision is made, and the finance team workshop is usually the last step of that migration.

Corporate Power BI Training Dubai — questions people ask

Do you provide Power BI training in Dubai?
Yes, for teams rather than individuals, and on your own data rather than a sample file. Four formats are offered: an owner workshop after a build, a finance team workshop, an executive briefing and a self-service enablement session. Delivery is remote, over video, on Gulf Standard Time hours, seven days a week.
Is it certification training?
No. There is no exam syllabus, no certificate and no classroom. If you want preparation for the PL-300 exam, a training institute is the better fit and several in Dubai offer it. Our sessions are for a team that needs to own a working Power BI model, and the exercises are built on that model.
Do you train teams outside Dubai?
Yes. Sessions are delivered remotely, so a team in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah or elsewhere in the Emirates receives exactly the same session as a team in Dubai, and a group with staff in more than one emirate can attend together.
How much does a corporate Power BI workshop cost?
Each workshop is a fixed price, quoted before it is booked, based on the format, the number of attendees up to the group cap, and whether recordings and a follow-up window are included. Preparing exercises on your own data is part of the price. Training that follows one of our builds is included in the build.
Do you train our team or just hand over a file?
We train the team. The owner workshop runs on your live model and ends when the owner has completed each runbook task unaided; the finance team workshop works through Power Query, the model and DAX in your own account names. You also receive the exercise files, a measure cheat-sheet in your naming, recordings where agreed and a follow-up question window.
Can training be in Arabic?
Materials and delivery are in English. Where the model carries Arabic display labels, the exercises use them, and the measure cheat-sheet can list both the English and Arabic label for each measure. If Arabic-language delivery matters to your team, tell us on the first call and we will say plainly whether we can arrange it.

Pricing

The method is published alongside the numbers, because what drives a figure matters as much as the figure. The diagnostic is a fixed price; a build is quoted against a written scope.

Each workshop is quoted as a fixed price, and the scope for a workshop is short: the format, the number of attendees up to the group cap, the model or data the exercises are built on, and whether recordings and the follow-up window are included. Preparing exercises on your data is part of the price, not an extra.

A short discovery call, no charge

Thirty minutes on GST hours, and a look at your current reports and the systems behind them. We tell you the smallest practical next step, even if it is smaller than you expected.

A written scope

Sources, the model, pages and visuals, users and their security, training and handover, written down. If it is not in the scope, it is not in the quote.

A fixed quote against that scope

One number in writing. The quote is the price; there is no hourly rate underneath it to drift.

Inside scope is our cost; outside scope is quoted first

If we find something worse than expected inside the scope, that is our cost. If you want something outside it, we quote it separately before doing it, and you decide.

Payment stages

Agreed in the scope document, in writing, before work starts.

What it costs

The reporting diagnostic is a fixed AED 4,950. That is the whole amount. Nothing is added at checkout. Builds are quoted rather than sold from a page: they start at AED 15,500, and most land in the AED 15,500 to AED 62,000 range once the sources, the state of the data, the pages and the training are known. The figure in your written quote is the price.

Ready to find out what this would take for your business?

Four quick questions tell us the systems you run, the reports you assemble by hand and who reads them. From there, a 30-minute call, no charge, and a written scope if it makes sense to go further.
