Data analytics consultancy for Dubai and the UAE, built on Power BI

Analytics consultancy, on this site, means three things. Reporting that runs itself: the monthly pack, the Sunday-morning page and the daily flash refresh from the source systems without anyone exporting and pasting. One governed model: a single set of definitions that every report reads from, so two dashboards cannot disagree. And trained owners: people inside your business who hold the model after we leave.

It does not mean two other things. We are not a data-science shop; if the problem is a forecasting model or machine learning, we will say so and point you elsewhere. And we are not an ERP implementer; we connect to Tally, Zoho Books, Odoo, SAP Business One, Dynamics 365 and the rest, and we leave them alone.

Six services cover the work, and every one is quoted as a fixed price against a written scope before it starts. Delivery is remote, on Gulf Standard Time hours, seven days a week. If you are not sure which service fits, the table below is the one-minute version of the first call.

Power BI consulting

The whole job, from the reports you produce today to an estate your own people run. Eight phases, each with a deliverable you sign off: a review of your reporting, a KPI definition workshop that produces a measure dictionary, an architecture and licensing decision, the model build reconciled to your ledger, the report build, a parallel run against the old pack, training and handover, and an optional managed service afterwards.

The UAE version of the problem is usually a multi-entity group — a mainland company and one or more free-zone companies, each on its own ledger — that needs one P&L with the entities kept separate for VAT and security. The Power BI consulting services Dubai page sets out each phase, its inputs and its sign-off, and the governance that is set up by default.

Power BI dashboard development

A dashboard for one department — executive, finance, sales, operations or HR — built on a governed model, because the visuals are the last twenty per cent and the model is what makes them trustworthy. Each dashboard family comes with KPI definitions rather than KPI names, and every page follows written design rules: one question per page, comparable-period logic that knows Ramadan and Eid, AED in one unit, colour for meaning only.

For a UAE finance team that means VAT payable by return period, post-dated cheque ageing kept separate from arrears, and entity and emirate dimensions on everything. Demos built on synthetic data can be opened from the Power BI dashboard development Dubai page before you speak to anyone.

Excel reporting automation

For the pack that must stay a workbook — the bank covenant file, the VAT working file, the group template — we automate the inputs and the assembly instead of moving the output. Power Query from the ERP replaces export and paste; a refreshable model inside Excel or behind it replaces the macros; validation checks tie the file to the trial balance before it is sent; Power Automate delivers it on a schedule.

In the UAE the common packs are management accounts by entity, the VAT working file by return period, the WPS payroll reconciliation, AR and PDC ageing, stock ageing and the intercompany matrix. The Excel reporting automation Dubai page lists each and the systems it is built from.

Corporate Power BI training

Working sessions for a team that has, or is about to have, a Power BI model and needs to own it: an owner workshop after every build, a finance team workshop from ERP export to budget variance in DAX, an executive briefing for readers, and self-service enablement for analysts. Exercises are built on your data and your naming, and you leave with the files, a measure cheat-sheet and a follow-up window.

It is not a certification course, and the page says so; if you want PL-300 exam preparation, an institute is the better fit. The UAE version is a finance team on Tally, Zoho Books or Odoo working through multi-entity and VAT examples in their own account names. Formats and pricing are on the corporate Power BI training Dubai page.

Power BI managed services

We keep an estate accurate, refreshing and evolving for a fixed monthly fee: refresh monitoring and failure handling, gateway upkeep, fixes when a source changes, an allowance of measure and page changes each month, access and security changes, a quarterly governance review, and a written monthly report. Coverage is 7am to 7pm GST, seven days. It is not 24/7, and the scope table says exactly what is and is not included.

The common UAE ticket is a refresh that failed because the Tally or Zoho gateway machine was restarted, followed closely by a new free-zone entity that needs to be in next month’s group P&L. Tiers, coverage definitions and the monthly report contents are on the Power BI managed services UAE page.

Power BI performance optimisation

A fixed-price health check for reports that are slow, refreshes that fail and numbers that disagree. We measure model size and cardinality, relationships, DAX patterns, query folding, refresh history, gateway configuration, visual count per page and licence fit, and deliver a findings list ranked by impact with a fix estimate against each. The fixes are then quoted from the list, and the page states the rule for deciding whether to patch or rebuild.

In the UAE the usual finding is an unfolded query pulling an entire Tally or SQL export across the gateway every night, or row-level security written against the fact table so a multi-entity model is slowest for exactly the users it was secured for. The diagnostic list is on the Power BI performance optimisation page.

What a data analytics consultant does, and how it differs from a Power BI developer

A data analytics consultant works from the business question backwards: which decisions are being made badly because the numbers are late or disputed, which definitions need agreeing, which systems hold the truth and which hold a copy, what the estate should look like and who will own it. The output is a scope, a set of definitions, an architecture and, usually, the build that follows. A consultant will tell you that a report should stay in Excel, or that the problem is a process and not a tool.

A Power BI developer works from an agreed specification forwards: the model, the measures, the pages, the security and the deployment, built well and built fast. Developers are the right shape when the definitions are agreed and the architecture is decided; consultants are the right shape when they are not. Most engagements need both, which is why our consulting includes the build and our Power BI developer Dubai page describes the developer role on its own.

Questions people ask before choosing a service

Plain answers to the five questions that come up before almost every first call.

What does a data analytics consultant do?
Works from the business question backwards: identifies which decisions suffer because the numbers are late or disputed, gets the KPI definitions agreed and written down, maps which systems hold the truth, decides the architecture and licensing, and usually delivers the build and the handover that follow. A consultant will also say when a report should stay in Excel or when the problem is a process rather than a tool.
How is analytics consulting different from Power BI development?
Consulting starts before the specification exists and produces it: the definitions, the architecture, the scope. Development starts from an agreed specification and builds it: the model, the measures, the pages, the security and the deployment. When definitions are agreed and the architecture is decided, a developer is the right shape; when they are not, a consultant is. Our consulting engagements include the build, and the developer page describes the developer role on its own.
Do you offer services outside Power BI?
Around it, yes: Excel automation with Power Query and Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric where a lakehouse is justified, and the staging databases that feed a model. Beyond it, no: we are not a data-science or machine-learning practice and we are not an ERP implementer. If your problem is one of those, we will say so on the first call and point you elsewhere.
Which service should we start with?
Match the symptom. Slow reports or failing refreshes: performance optimisation. A manual month-end that must stay in Excel: Excel automation; one that should not: migration. Power BI that nobody owns: managed services. A team that cannot build for itself: training. One department needing one dashboard: dashboard development. Not started and definitions not agreed: consulting. The first call, thirty minutes at no charge, confirms the fit or corrects it.
How are services priced?
Every service is a fixed price quoted against a written scope before work starts, after a short call and a look at your reports and systems. The quote is the price; if we find something worse than expected inside the scope, that is our cost, and anything outside the scope is quoted separately before it is done. Payment is staged against milestones in the scope. The reporting diagnostic is a fixed AED 4,950. That is the whole amount. Nothing is added at checkout. Builds start at AED 15,500 and most fall between AED 15,500 to AED 62,000; where yours lands is set by your systems, and the figure you pay is the one written into your quote.

Every service, one pricing method

Six services, one method. Whether the work is a health check, a workshop, a dashboard or a full engagement, the price is fixed against a written scope before anything starts, and the scope says what drives it.

A short discovery call, no charge

Thirty minutes on GST hours, and a look at your current reports and the systems behind them. We tell you which of the six services fits, or that none does.

A written scope

Sources, the model, pages and visuals, users and their security, training and handover, written down. If it is not in the scope, it is not in the quote.

A fixed quote against that scope

One number in writing. The quote is the price; there is no hourly rate underneath it to drift.

Inside scope is our cost; outside scope is quoted first

If we find something worse than expected inside the scope, that is our cost. If you want something outside it, we quote it separately before doing it, and you decide.

Payment stages

Agreed in the scope document, in writing, before work starts.

What it costs

The reporting diagnostic is a fixed AED 4,950. That is the whole amount. Nothing is added at checkout. It is the only thing here with a single price, because its scope is the same every time: we review the reports and systems you already have and write up what to fix first.

Builds are quoted, never bought from a page. They start at AED 15,500, and most land in the AED 15,500 to AED 62,000 range, depending on how many sources are joined, how much repair the data needs, how many pages and security roles are involved and how many people are trained. Those are starting points for the conversation; the number you pay is the one written into your quote before work starts.

Get started — four quick questions takes about a minute and books a thirty-minute call at no charge, on GST hours. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and, where we can, point you to a better option.

Not sure which of the six fits?

Four quick questions tell us the systems you run, the reports you assemble by hand and who reads them. From there, a 30-minute call, no charge, and a written scope if it makes sense to go further.
